ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WALA) - The crew and management from the Orange Beach McDonald’s Restaurant have won the 2011 Super Summer Series contest as the best in the whole Great Southern Region of McDonald’s.

Owner Donna Connor and her restaurant crew were among 693 restaurants competing in the region and won the contest for having the best increase in sales and fastest drive-thru. This is a huge achievement for the crew and a positive indication of South Baldwin County’s recovery from the oil spill.

Representatives from McDonald’s corporate office and Ronald McDonald traveled to the store for a “surprise” presentation to the winning restaurant on Thursday, October 6, 2011.

The store received $5,000 cash and iPads in recognition of their achievement.
