Police: Man sexually abused 9-year-old relative

FOLEY, Ala. (WALA) - Foley police say they have arrested a man who has allegedly been sexually abusing a 9-year-old relative.

Officials say Eddie Terrance Padgett-Thomas, 34, was interviewed by police on Thursday, December 13. During the interview he confessed to sexually abusing the victim over the past three years.

Foley Police are also investigating the possibility that there may be more victims who were abused by Padgett-Thomas.

The Foley Police Department is working with the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources.

At this time Padgett-Thomas has been charged with sexual abuse of a child less than 12-years-old, a Class B felony.

More charges are anticipated.
