BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - Red flags are waving on Alabama's beaches.

Baldwin County's spring break begins with red flags waving on both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

Red flags indicate high surf and/or strong currents. Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water.

Orange Beach has three lifeguards patrolling the beach from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Three more will be added in May.

Weather forecasters say severe storms and possible rough turf are possible on Saturday in Baldwin County.
