'Team Summer' holds car wash benefit

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) - Supporters of slain Baldwin County teen Summer Moody held a car was to benefit the girl's family following her hospitalization and subsequent passing . Moody died as a result of an accidental shooting on Gravine Island on April 15.

The event was based off donations and began at 9 a.m. in the O'Reilly's Auto Parts/ CVS Pharmacy parking lot in Bay Minette.

The family's hope was that the community would come out to show their support for the Moody/Lewis family. All proceeds, including those from bracelets and "Team Summer" shirts, went to support the family.
