BALDWIN CO., Ala. (WALA) - A traffic stop by Baldwin County Sheriff's Deputies netted three kilos of cocaine. Deputies say they stopped the Lexus with a Florida plate on Interstate 65 at mile marker 42 for improper equipment violation.
During the investigation, deputies report the driver and passenger gave conflicting stories about their relationship and travel itinerary. Deputies also said they displayed nervous behavior.
Deputies searched the vehicle with their consent, and found a false floorboard in the rear passenger compartment. There they found three kilos of cocaine.
Margarita Valoy and Wilfredo Estrada were both arrested for trafficking cocaine. Both are said to be from Atlanta. They are being held in the Baldwin County Jail on $1 million bond.
