BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: 2:11 p.m. - All lanes of I-65 South over the Mobile River Delta Bridge are now open.

7:52 a.m. - Some Friday morning commuters found themselves idling in traffic after an 18-wheeler caught fire on Interstate 65.

It happened around 6:15 on the southbound lanes near mile marker 25 in Baldwin County.

Alabama State Troopers are not reporting any injures. No word, though, on what caused the fire.

It could take several hours before the road will reopen. Crews have to clear the scene and inspect the roadway to make sure it's safe for travel.

Motorists heading southbound are being detoured onto Highway 59. Drivers going northbound are being re-directed to Highway 43.

Creola police, firefighters, the Alabama Department of Transportation and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
