SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WALA) - Former Alabama player and current Kansas City Chief, Wallace Gilberry, is hosting his annual football camp at Spanish Fort High School. Dozens of children endure the heat to learn skills from Gilberry and other notable football players.
Gilberry plays definsive end for the Chiefs. He teamed up with other former Bama players, Javier Arenas and Rasheed Wallace, to strengthen young players skills on the football field.
Gilberry played high school ball at Baldwin County High School. He believes youngsters should learn the fundamentals and respect for the game early in life.
"Right now, these kids are having fun and I am enjoying them," Gilberry told FOX10 News Friday.
Gilberry has played for Kansas City Chiefs for three seasons. This is his second year to hold the camp.
