DAPHNE, Alabama (WALA) - Steelers fans in Alabama are getting pumped up for the Super Bowl.
If the Steelers are playing, the game is guaranteed to be on at Bentz's Pizza in Daphne.
Owners Mary Beth Bentz and her husband Mark moved to the Eastern Shore from Pittsburgh in 2004. Bentz said its no secret who they cheer for.
"If you're from Pittsburgh, you're a Steelers fan," said Bentz.
In 2006, they decided to open the pizza pub and it soon became a gathering place for Steelers fans in the area.
Bentz's grew up around her grandfather's bar in Pittsburgh. Now she has one of her own with the same Pittsburgh style, just a few hundred miles south.
"This is completely our family. The Eastern Shore has become a second family to us and everybody here has just embraced us and embraced the Steelers and were so happy to share this with everyone," said Bentz.
Since opening, business has been so great, they even had to expand the restaurant and add what they call the "Pittsburgh Room" which is filled with Steelers memorabilia.
They have discovered they aren't the only Steelers fans in the area. Every Sunday the house is packed with cheering fans for the Pittsburgh team.
So it's no surprise they are gearing up for a big turnout on Super Bowl Sunday when the Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers.
Bentz said they are having Pittsburgh beer specials and featuring favorite foods of the area.
"It's going to be all things Pittsburgh all day and were pretty excited," said Bentz.
The owners have plans to accommodate a huge flow of Steelers and Packers fans.
Employee Austin Hopkins said they were packed during the playoffs, but on Super Bowl Sunday it's going to be triple the crowd.
"Sunday is going to be indescribable, your not going to be able to walk," said Hopkins.
They are re-arranging the place to add more seating and viewing room. They are also using the patio for extra seating. The area will be roped off and in clear view of a huge projector screen to watch the game.
Bentz said it has been a lot of hard work and she's ready to enjoy the game.
"We have spent hours trying to put everything together logistically that needs to be done so were just going to enjoy it," said Bentz.
Bentz said they welcome everyone, even Green Bay Packers Fans.
Patrick George is a regular at Bentz's Pizza. He is also a Packers fan. He said he loves the people there, even if they are cheering against his team.
"Its fantastic, these guys treat me great. Of course we are going to be fighting out in the back of the parking lot here in a little while because the Packers are going to win," joked George.
But the littlest member of the Bentz family, Maryssa disagrees.
"The Steelers are going to win," said Bentz.
Bentz's Pizza will open its doors at noon on Sunday.
