BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Authorities have charged a man and his wife in the hit-and-run fatality of a 70-year-old Tennessee man who was killed early Saturday morning in south Mississippi.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove tells the Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/ZPW03a ) that the pedestrian's identity has not been released pending notification of his family.
Hargrove says the man, who was staying alone at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma at the scene in Biloxi about 2:30 a.m.
Shumarcus Taiwain Henderson, 32, was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.
His wife, Angela Marie Henderson, 29, who was a passenger in the SUV, was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact.
It wasn't immediately clear if they had hired lawyers.
