GCSO: Elderly man last seen Friday

Possibly has early stages of dementia

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WALA) - The George County Sheriff’s Office, The Mississippi Highway Patrol/Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert regarding a missing elderly George County man.

Chester C. “Sonny” Breland, 83, was last seen at his home.

Investigators say according to his family, Breland left his home Friday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m in a brown 1989 Cadillac Seville 2-door sedan bearing license plate GEF 312.

Officials say his family members told police he was wearing light blue coveralls, a blue Dickies button-down shirt and black loafers.

His direction of travel is unknown but he does have ties to the Escatawpa and Hurley communities of Jackson County.

Investigators say Breland possibly suffers from early-stage dementia but his health is said to be generally good.
