HELENA, Miss. (WALA) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested a man who they said assaulted his grandfather and stole $100 from him.

Zane Bridges, 22, was arrested after the Sheriff's Office listed him as one of south Mississippi's Most Wanted.

Authorities said on Bridges struck his grandfather in the head with his fist and removed the cash from his pocket after an argument on July 16. Their investigation began on July 19.

Detectives, who were unable to locate the man, added him to the most wanted list and received word of his new employment. They arrested him at his new job on Oct. 4 without incident.

Bridges is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 bond.
