BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a Biloxi man after the discovery of two homes retrofitted with elaborate ventilation and lighting systems and thriving indoor crops of hydroponic marijuana.
Narcotics agents tell The Sun Herald they seized 372 pounds of hydroponic marijuana plants, some up to 11 feet tall, from two homes in the subdivision off Mississippi 15 near Biloxi.
Authorities say the pot has an estimated street value of more than $500,000.
They also seized about 21 pounds of processed marijuana and large amounts of paraphernalia.
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says authorities of looking for 25-year-old Tin Quac Tran. He faces charges of cultivation of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
