BIG POINT, Miss. (WALA) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Department said they arrested a woman who rammed her boyfriend's truck with a rented vehicle, then hid from authorities in a nearby home's closet.

Authorities said Tessie Mae Cooper, 30, came out of the closet and was arrested without further incident when witnesses led them to the nearby Big Point home she was hiding in on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Deputies said the incident started with a domestic dispute between Cooper and her boyfriend. Cooper allegedly rammed her boyfriend's truck with a rented vehicle and caused extensive damage to both vehicles.

They said Cooper, who was on parole for a drug violation, had her bond set at $5,000.

Cooper is charged with felony malicious mischief and, if convicted, she could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
