JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WALA) - The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 24-year-old woman on domestic violence charges on Saturday, February 9.
Investigators said Julia Alisha Rogers and charged her with domestic violence-aggravated assault after she shot her boyfriend in the leg during a confrontation at their apartment.
Officials said the victim was treated for his injury and released.
Rogers remains at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending a bail hearing in Jackson County Court.
Rogers faces two years in prison and a $10,000 fine, if convicted.
