ATM smash and grab suspect identified

SPANISH FORT, Alabama (WALA) - Spanish Fort Police have identified one of the men involved in the ATM smash and grab at a BP gas station in Spanish Fort.

One of the men seen in the surveillance video has been identified as Derrick Centell Myles, 24.

Authorities say Myles has a prior record of arrests for burglary, discharging a weapon into an unoccupied vehicle/ building, receiving stolen property and murder.

Myles has been known to carry a gun and was recently seen with a weapon. Authorities say the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Spanish Fort Police are working leads as to the identity of the others involved in the crime. Anyone with information of the whereabouts of Myles is asked to call the Spanish Fort Police at 251-626-4914.
