MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office officially promoted 13 deputies Wednesday, Januaary 23. It’s a process Sheriff Sam Cochran said took nearly a year.
A ceremony was held at the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office to welcome the deputies into the ranks of lieutenant, corporal, sergeant and captain. It’s been a long journey of exams and hard work that got them there, according to the sheriff.
Cochran said since the budget has been tight, the 13 positions sat empty for a year. The agency finally got the money to promote these deserving individuals.
Here are their names and new positions:
Carlos J. Thompson, Captain
Wayne K. Goolsby, Lieutenant
David C. Robinson, Lieutenant
James Riddick, Sergeant
Johnny Thornton Sr., Sergeant
Jeffrey W. Eiland, Sergeant
Jason H. Arendall, Sergeant
Robert Constantine, Corporal
Terri S. Hall, Corporal
