2 arrested in Mimosa Dr. homicide

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - On Dec. 14, the Mobile Police Department said they have made an arrest in a homicide that occurred Oct. 12 on Mimosa Drive.  

According to police, the investigation revealed that 18 year-old Darius Javonte Clark and 20-year-old Justin Isiah Duckworth were involved in the homicide. Officials said they located Clark and Duckworth on Dec. 14, and they arrested and charged with murder.  Clark is also charged with first degree robbery.

Investigators said on Oct.12, at 11:43 p.m., Mobile police began an investigation on Mimosa Drive when two victims were sitting on the front porch, and three unknown males approached the victims to commit a robbery.  One of the victims was shot in the chest during the incident. 

Authorities said on Dec.10, Mobile police were notified that the victim, 24-year-old Ray Nicholson, died from complications associated with the gunshot wound.
