66 arrested in Mobile Street Sweep

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile Police Department's latest street sweep landed 66 people in jail. The citywide street sweep was conducted on May 2 and May 3.

During the operation, undercover Mobile Police Officers sought out people engaged in a variety of illegal activities. Charges filed include everything from gambling to loitering to possession of a controlled substance.

Some suspects had more than one charge filed against them.

In all, there were 30 felonies and 79 misdemeanors. Police also seized three guns.
