Council passes maritime museum funding
Funding package cost over $628k

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile City Council approved a package to spend $ 628,770 on the Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico-GulfQuest at its regular meeting Tuesday.
The vote was unanimous, uniting a city council that has been divided over some issues recently.
The money will be used for site utility and general site work for the museum, which is being constructed next to the defunct Alabama Cruise Terminal.
