New green space comes to Mobile

MOBILE, Ala.- - The City of Mobile will soon have a new downtown green space.

The space will be called Unity Point. It will be dedicated to the memory of two Mobile civil rights leaders, John Leflore and former mayor Joseph Langan.

The city will dedicate Unity Point Saturday at Broad Street and Springhill Avenue.

The event will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m and is expected to draw a lot of people.

The city will close parts of Broad Street and set up traffic detours on surrounding streets arround 4 p.m.
