MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Ciera Marshall was home on Lexington Avenue Sunday night when she said four men armed with guns kicked down her door.

“They threw me down, and they point a gun at you and tell you to be quiet,” said Marshall.

She said at first, she didn’t think she was in harm’s way.

“They said they were the police, so I thought they were the police for real. So I just I walked out of my room, and they grabbed my hair and threw me on the ground," Marshall said.

Then, Marshall said they went after her mother and when she didn't cooperate, they hit her on the head.

“They kept asking where everything is, and she wouldn't tell them. She kept saying they don’t have anything,” Marshall said.

She said her mother had to be taken to USA Medical Center after the four men fled on foot.

“They hit her two times. There were six stitches, and they had to glue this (her head) back together because it wouldn't stop bleeding,” Marshall said.

She gave the men $50, but said they could be back for more.

“They are young, and they weren't in a car so they have to stay around here,” said Marshall.

"It’s kind of peculiar. There is no reason to believe our victims knew our suspects. We’re working on identifying our suspects. And once we can do that, maybe we can figure out why they chose this house if there is a reason,” said police.

Police said three of the men had a gun and one had a rifle.

They said all four men were dressed in dark clothing wearing masks.

The mother was released from the hospital Monday morning.
