MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - If you walked down Royal Street in Mobile Friday night, you're probably still in the Christmas spirit.

That's where the North Pole Stroll went on the night of Dec. 7.

Anita Montgomery said, "I brought the kids out because I thought it would be a great fun and excitement for them to celebrate Christmas. It is.  Its beautiful."

Pop-up plastic penguins and other attractions prompted visitors from out-of-town to see what was going on. A machine even produced artificial snow, and that got people in the holiday spirit.

Andrew Wiley said, "I'm from Memphis. I'm here on temporary assignment. I heard all the commotion going on, so I came out to see what was going on.  And, I'm still not sure what's going on."

That's easy to understand when you see a guy in costume climbing on the outside wall of the Hampton Inn and Suites.

It was an actor dressed up as Spiderman.

There was also a trolley to give rides to people at the event.

The North Pole Stroll was organized by the Downtown Mobile Alliance and businesses along Royal Street.
