MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile County Probate Court said Thursday, November 1 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to apply for absentee ballots for the November 6 Alabama General Election.
Applications for absentee ballots are available at the Absentee Election Manager’s Office located on the first floor of Mobile Government Plaza. Applications can also be downloaded and printed from the Mobile County Probate Court’s website.
Any qualified voter may submit an absentee ballot application by mail or in person to the Absentee Election Manager’s Office for the following reasons:
Completed ballots must be returned by the voter in person to the Absentee Election Manager’s Office at the Mobile Government Plaza no later than 5 p.m. November 5. If mailed through the United States Postal Service, it must be postmarked no later than November 5 and received by the Absentee Election Manager no later than noon on election day.
Multiple ballots cannot be mailed in the same envelope.
A voter can also physically go to the Absentee Election Manager’s Office, complete their ballot application, receive and vote their ballot while at there. The Absentee Election Manager will safeguard ballots until election day.
