Traffic flowing on northbound I-65

MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - UPDATE: 2:42 p.m. Traffic is flowing normally on northbound I-65.

1:22 p.m. An accident has slowed traffic almost to a stand still on I-65 North near the Springhill Avenue exit. Emergency workers are working to clear the area.

FOX10 News has not heard if there are serious injuries at this time.

Alabama Department of Transportation cameras show one car hanging over the guardrail. They also show that some traffic has been re-routed to the service roads until the accident is cleared.

If at all possible, northbound traffic should avoid the area.
