MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Airbus Americas has named Jennifer Ogle, 49, as the new Director of Human Resources (HR) for its Mobile, Alabama assembly line.

Ogle will join Airbus on April 15 and report to Linda Herbert, Vice President of HR for Airbus Americas.

During the construction phase of the assembly line in Mobile, Ogle will be responsible for optimal coordination of all HR-related activities, including compensation and benefits, expatriation, recruiting and training (in conjunction with the Alabama Industrial Development and Training organization) and employee relations.

Once construction is complete, she will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations within the manufacturing facility.

She comes to Airbus Americas from Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics in Theodore, Alabama, where she has been the Human Resources Director since July 2011.

She brings more than 20 years of experience with organization development and design, labor and employee relations, manufacturing management and leadership development and coaching in a manufacturing environment.

Prior to Taylor-Wharton, she was with Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for 13 years in various HR roles; Allied-Signal in Maryville, Tennessee for three years; and A.E. Staley Manufacturing in Loudon, Tennessee for five years.

Ogle graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a B.S. degree in Human Ecology in 1985. She received her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) in 2000.

Ogle is originally from Knoxville. She and her family reside in Fairhope, Alabama, and she has lived in the Mobile area for 13 years.

On July 2, 2012, Airbus announced it would build an assembly line for its A320 Family of aircraft in Mobile. The groundbreaking for the assembly line is in April and major construction will begin in the summer. Hiring for manufacturing jobs at the assembly line will begin during the fourth quarter of 2013 and continue into 2014.
