IRVINGTON, Ala. (WALA) - The three, top scoring teams in the 2013 HiQ academic competition met Thursday at Bryant High School, during the first match of the third and final round before the Alabama HiQ championship next month.
Bryant hosted Baker and McGill-Toolen Catholic before an enthusiastic audience in the Bryant auditorium. As proof of the high caliber of academic talent on stage, math questions for the teams, for which 3 minutes were allowed were solved in 15 seconds.
At the half, Baker had a 5 point lead over Bryant, and widened the gap by the final question.
The final score was Baker 51, Bryant 41 and McGill-Toolen 36.
