MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Williamson High School in Mobile hosted a close contest Thursday for the HiQ academic quiz contest.
Only 1 point separated Citronelle and B.C. Rain High Schools at halftime, but Rain managed to pull ahead by 1 point to win the match.
The final score was B.C. Rain 20, Citronelle 19 and Williamson 2.
There is only one match remaining in the 2013 regular season. The first of two semi-final matches will be held next week to determine the schools that will meet the winner of a bye for the Alabama 2013 HiQ Championship, to be held at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in downtown Mobile.
