MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 News has spoken with the attorney of Matthew Owens who says his client is doing extremely better.

Attorney Alexander Almond says although Owens is still in the hospital, he has been moved from the intensive care unit to a private room.

Almond planned to visit Owens Friday morning, and should have an update by the afternoon.
