MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The man accused of attacking three women in the Mobile area appeared before a judge Wednesday, November 28 on those charges.

Martell Malone is charged with three counts of first degree sex abuse. Police said the attacks happened on three separate occasions.

"He does have three charges. The judge set bond at $15,000 on each case. That's the max for a class "C" felony. I thought it was a little high considering my client doesn't have a significant criminal history," said defense attorney Cindy Powell.
The most recent incident happened November 24 when police say Malone grabbed a female runner near Cottage Hill Park. That victim was able to fight off her attacker and get away.

Surveillance pictures from a neighborhood watch camera got a clear picture of the suspect. Police said those pictures and tips helped lead to Malone's arrest.

According to jail records, Malone has been previously arrested for public lewdness, harassment, and indecent exposure.

His arraignment is set for Tuesday, December 4.
