MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The team of scholars from Bryant High School raised the bar once again in the HiQ academic competition during a match Tuesday at Murphy High School.
HiQ questions are drawn from 16 categories ranging from current events, to American History, physics, math and art history.
Bryant had the highest score in the first round (54 points), only to see Baker score 55 points. Tuesday, Bryant scored one better, winning its match with 56 points and moving into first place in the cumulative point total with one match to go in the second round.
Bryant had a strong first half on Tuesday, outscoring its nearest opponent almost two-to-one.
The final was Bryant 56, Murphy 28 and McGill-Toolen Catholic 23.
