Business owners picking up the pieces

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Family and friends have been cleaning up and moving items out of Cantrell’s Photography and Frame shop severely damaged by Tuesday's twister. The business' roof was ripped off and debris litters the side of the building.

The side of the building in shambles with bricks and concrete cluttering the ground while a white Christmas tree once used for portraits, stands to the side of the debris upright and untouched.

A friend of the owners said the roof is now in the backyard and you could see debris from the business blocks away.

"It just picked the entire roof system up and peeled it off of here and emptied all the cabinets. It had all the doors open and all the drawers just kind of sucked it all out of there,” said a friend of the owners, Sal Massello.

A blue tarp has been put up where the roof used to be and it’s being held up with part of a door damaged in the storm. Glass that once covered the floor has been swept away and the room is now bare.

Family and friends of the owners have been working non-stop to get the owner’s belongings out of the business.

The owners of the shop don't know of they will rebuild or relocate.
