MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police Captain Clay Godwin reported to City Council Woman Gina Gregory that St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Old Shell Road and the Spring Hill Baptist Church on McGregor Avenue were targets of burglars Tuesday, January 22.
Gregory posted the information to her District 7 newsletter.
Captain Godwin reported that a window was forced open at St. Paul's, where cash and some blank checks were stolen.
A window was broken attempting entry to Spring Hill Baptist, but nothing was stolen. Godwin said an alarm may have scared off the burglar.
Spring Hill Baptist officials are not available to comment about the incident.
