Classic jeep raises awareness for Salute Our Troops campaign

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Residents in Pensacola got the chance to send out video salutes to our men and women serving in the military next to a classic wartime vehicle

A refurbished classic 1952 Willys CJ-3 Jeep is on tour to raise awareness and donations for the Salute Our Troops campaign.

The USO partnered with Kangaroo Express for the event.

They're offering to film and send video salutes to military men and women.

Salute Our Troops has already raised $1M for the USO, Wounded Warrior Project and state-based military support organizations.

The jeep will be in various locations around Mobile Monday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., including the Mobile BayBears game.

Monday, July 11 - Mobile
