MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A little wet weather is not bringing down the spirit of one Mardi Gras organization. On Monday, the Comic Cowboys were ready to roll on Fat Tuesday and as always have lots of laughs in store.
"If it’s raining tomorrow, make sure you bring out your wife or your girlfriend but don't bring both of them to the same party,” said one Cowboy.
Watch out for public officials, accidental newsmakers and celebrities. The Comic Cowboys are ready to roll and are dropping names.
"We have got a little spoof on everything in the City of Mobile, the state of Alabama and national politics," said one Cowboy.
The Cowboys have been working all year to bring you the hilarious floats that we all wait for, and on Monday they were loaded and ready to go.
Some people featured this year are Bayou La Batre Mayor Stan Wright, Gene Chizick and the Mobile Press-Register.
As they prepared for Tuesday, they had to wonder if Mother Nature will force the organization to miss out.
"We haven’t been rained out in the last 120 years. If it rains, we will still ride the floats unless the police department calls it off due to lightening or a hazard of public safety, and we don’t want either one of those,” said one Cowboy.
The Comic Cowboys will roll on Fat Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. weather permitting.
