MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - According to a court document, Johnathan Chase Deblase was tortured by his father and stepmother. You can find the court document below:

Being the natural parent, stepparent, adoptive parent, legal guardian, custodian or a person who had the permanent or temporary care or responsibility for the supervision of a child under 18-years of age, to-wit:

Johnathan Chase Deblase, 3-years-old, torture, willfully abuse, cruelly beat, or otherwise willfully maltreat the child by allowing Heather Leavell-Keaton (his girlfriend) to duck-tape the child's hands to the side of his legs, tape a broom handle to his back, placing a sock in his mouth and duck-taping his mouth, then making the child stand in a corner all night when they went to bed.

Which causes serious physical injury to the child, as defined in Section 13A-1-2, code of Alabama 1975, to wit: causing the death of Johnathan Chase Deblase.
