MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Hundreds filled the auditorium at Davidson High School Wednesday morning to watch an academic showdown between three great teams.

Students from Davidson took the early lead and outscored their opponents from Baker and Murphy during the fourth match of the 2012 HiQ academic season.

While the visiting teams made strong comebacks in the second half, Davidson's early lead was big enough to secure the victory.

The final score was Davidson 44, Murphy 37 and Baker 35.

The next match is Thursday at 10 a.m. at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School.
