MOBILE, Ala. - A teenager is happy to be home, after she says she was drugged and driven across state lines. Now, she has a message for other teens.
Mercedes Johnson was the focus of a missing persons report, after she disappeared from downtown Mobile October 25. A week later, she turned up in Mississippi.
The teen said the only thing she remembers was riding in a car with four people and waking up in Jackson.
Johnson said she was drugged.
"Horrible, lot of drugs and a lot of abuse," said Johnson.
Johnson said after what she's been through, she has a warning for other young women.
"Riding in cars isn't the coolest, I stay home now. Because you can leave your drink for a second and someone puts something in it. That's what happened to me," said Johnson.
Johnson said since she came home, her mother has made a different dinner each night.
