SEMMES, Ala. (WALA) - Investigators are trying to determine the cause of an explosion that sparked an early morning fire in Semmes.

The emergency call came in around 5:15 a.m. Friday, February 22nd. Authorities were called to a report of an explosion at a mobile home in the 6300 block of McCrary Road.  The Semmes Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly put out the flames. Witnesses say, they were awakened by a loud boom.  One woman told Fox10 she thought the noise came from Friday morning’s storm, but then she saw the smoke.  No injuries have been reported.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
