MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Fire Investigators report an electrical failure sparked a fire early Thursday morning. A call for help came in around 3:21 a.m. from the 600 block of Lancewood Drive.

Firefighters arrived about nine minutes later. When they walked into the home, they found that most of the living room had burned. However, fire investigators say a lack of oxygen in the room extinguished the blaze.

Investigators determined the fire started in one of the living room walls, because of an electrical failure.

The fire did not spread far, but heavy smoke and heat added to the estimated $20,000 in damage.
