MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE, Feb. 27, 2:46 p.m.:  Mobile police said on Wednesday, that Raymond Fenner was found dead in in Mobile River near the Alabama State Docks.

Police said the Alabama Port Authority notified them that a body was found in the river on Feb. 26, 2013.

Detectives responded and identified the body as Fenner. Police said there were no signs of criminal activity and an autopsy will determine the cause of death.

Earlier, Feb. 22: A family is searching for a loved one and they hope you can help find him. Raymond Fenner disappeared more than a week ago and investigators are calling the case "suspicious".

His mother, father and sister traveled more than 1,000 miles from New York to search for Fenner.

"This is certainly a nightmare for us,” said Fenner’s sister Collette Fenner Mitchell.

They said it’s been more than 10 days since anyone has spoken to him.

"It’s not in his character. He’s not just going to leave," said father Raymond Fenner Sr.

Fenner was last seen at his home on Patton Avenue. Fenner's mother, Cynthia Gial, said he had everything to look forward to and no reason to leave.

"He works so hard. He just got his CDL license because he was trying to move up in his company,” said Gial.

Originally from New York, Fenner has built a family in Mobile. They too are wondering what happened.

"Just the unknown; if we knew something, we would know what to do you know,” said Fenner’s mother-in-law Janice Wheat.

Mobile Police Corporal Chris Levy said the circumstances are peculiar.

"The type of things you would expect someone to take when they leave the house, wallet keys, credit cards. He didn't take them with him. They are still at the house,” said Levy.

The family has posted flyers and police said they have no leads. Now, they are asking for your help.

"If anyone seen my son and knows how a mother feels with children, just let us know,” said Gial.

If you know anything about this case, call Mobile Police.
