MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - If you want to go to Miami for the BCS National Championship, there are some ticket packages available. But if you actually go to the game, it will cost you.

Miami offers beautiful beaches, plenty of sunshine and football. The BCS National Championship in Miami is a dream for Alabama fans, a very expensive dream. To get into the game, you are looking at around $1,650 a ticket.

"1,650? That's pretty high. I couldn't afford to go," said one Alabama fan.

Search Craigslist, and you’ll find them as high as $3,000.

San Corsentino with Springdale Travel said the price is scaring some fans away.

"The tickets have actually gone down in cost. They were originally introduced a week ago at $1,900 a person,” said Corsentino.

Corsentino has been working for weeks to put together travel packages for fans heading to the game.

For an air-only round-trip package, which will get you to Miami and back on a charter flight from Mobile, will cost you $729 per person.

For a land-only package, which includes hotel accommodations, game day transportation and parties you will pay $869.

The ultimate package is selling for $1,545. It includes airfare, hotel and all the perks.

None of the packages include tickets.

Corsentino said it’s smart to get on board with your travel arrangements and then worry about tickets.

"Going down for the experience, just being in Miami for the game, is going to be exciting," said Corsentino.

We spoke to another travel agency that said it isn’t even doing packages this year. That’s because the price of the trip is so high, there’s not a lot of interest.
