MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - On Dec. 12, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrested a former Montgomery police officer for trafficking marijuana.

Officials said while executing a search warrant in Irvington, Ala., narcotics deputies caught Lyvanh Rasavong dropping off three pounds of high-grade marijuana. Deputies said the average street value for this type of marijuana would be around $3,500 per pound.

Deputies said Rasavong admitted to trafficking across county lines from Montgomery.

Deputies said Rasavong is also associated with the marijuana bust the sheriff’s office had on October 19, in Chunchula, Alabama.
