Funeral arrangements for Officer Steven Green

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Funeral services for Officer Steven Green have been released by the Mobile Police Department.

Sunlight District Auditorium - 809 Seminary Street, Prichard

A funeral procession will follow to the interment at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens on Old Pascagoula Road as follows:

  • South on Clark Avenue from Seminary Street in Prichard, Alabama to St. Stephens Road
  • West on St. Stephens Road to I-65
  • South on I-65 to Government Street
  • West on Government Street to Three Notch Road
  • North on Three Notch Road to Old Pascagoula Road
  • West on Old Pascagoula Road to Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens

Law enforcement from all over the area are expected to ride in the funeral procession. The public is invited to show their support by standing on the non-interstate portion of the route, at a safe distance from the street. Business owners along the route said, the will be front and center.

" We want to pay our respects because he was out there serving and protecting," said business owner Donnell Hunter.

" We just want to make sure people know e support what he was doing," said Manager, Kallie Hudspeth.

Also, the Mobile Police Department would like to invite the public to sign a memorial book that will be presented to the family of fallen officer Steven Green. The book will be in the lobby of Mobile Police Headquarters, 2460 Government Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until Friday, February 10, 2012 for the public to sign or write their thoughts for the Green family.

You can also make a donation at any branch of Community Bank and Mortgage. Community will then in turn forward the funds to the Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation to be donated to the Green family.
