Habitat For Humanity to complete 2000th home in Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama is marking a major milestone in the completion of its 2000th house in Alabama.

The house, at 6406 Roslyn Drive in Hillsdale will be dedicated at 3:30 p.m. June 22.

After that dedication, there will be a sports memorabilia auction beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the group enjoying the BayBears game. The auction will continue until about 9 p.m.

Habitat for Humanity says the event is a chance for partner families and supporters to share an evening together.

They expect the turnout to be around 300 people.

Tickets cost $8 and $3 from every ticket will go to help directly to Habitat for Humanity.
