MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - Big changes could be coming to Brookley Field as a result of the EADS tanker contract.

Bill Sisson, the executive director of the Mobile Airport Authority said the name of the complex was recently changed to Brookley Aeroplex. Sisson added that if EADS wins the tanker bid, a number of business and services could soon call the Aeroplex home.

"Services such as engineering, architecture, and even restaurants. It's going to change here at Brookley," he told FOX10.

Sisson said the existing tenants at Brookley Aeroplex are very important, and with the possible boost in the local economy, they'll benefit from the new businesses as well.

John Rogers will have more details on Brookley Aeroplex tonight on FOX10 News at 5 p.m.
