MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Baker, Davidson and McGill-Toolen Catholic will compete Thursday night to decide the 2013 Alabama HiQ academic championship.

During the last semi-final match of the season Tuesday, McGill-Toolen outscored St. Luke's and Murphy to advance to the final at the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile. The championship begins at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the general public.

The teams will compete for cash awards for their schools of $2,000, $1,500 or $1,000 for use in scholastic programs. The team members and faculty advisors receive individual awards.

Tuesday's final score was McGill-Toolen 48, St. Luke's 20 and Murphy 12.
