MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Kids with an entrepreneurial spirit have the chance to submit their ideas to Bel Air Mall to get the chance to sell their goods to mall-goers.

Bel Air Mall’s Kids, Inc. program is underway and kids can submit their ideas for a business to the mall’s Facebook page until June 20.

Facebook fans then have the chance to vote for their favorite business ideas from June 21-28.
After the winner is chosen, based on highest number of votes, they will be invited to a one-day “business showcase” to sell their products or services to customers and keep the earnings.

The child’s idea should involve minimal parental involvement and may create something from scratch, offer a service or resell a product from a wholesaler.

Marketing manager Shelley Rehberg said, “Allowing kids to sell their products or services in a retail environment will give them a real taste of what it takes to run a business.”
