MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - One of the newest business in the city is T.P Crockmier's on Dauphin Street.

It's part of a familiar narrative in downtown Mobile: new businesses setting up shop in the area.

Wednesday, the Downtown Mobile Alliance/Downtown Mobile District Management Corporation Annual Meeting will address progress, as well as how downtown will move forward.

The event's keynote speaker is John Robert Smith, the director of Reconnecting America, a downtown re-development group.

FOX10 News Reporter Steve Alexander will be at the meeting and he'll have the story on FOX10 News at 5 p.m.
