Locals help family affected by storm

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Locals have come to the aid of a family who lost their home to severe weather.
At least one member of the Little Welcome Baptist Church drove by the Dansby's home and is trying to provide the family with help this holiday season.
"I live in the Crichton area, and I realize it could have been me, and my church, Little Welcome Baptist Church," said Asonia Smith, who is collecting clothes for the Dansbys.
"I'm one of the senior ushers there, and our job is to serve, so this was a good time to serve," Smith said.
A reported EF-1 tornado on Thursday destroyed John and Voncile Dansby's home on Frederick St. in Mobile. John Dansby was trapped inside the home but wasn't seriously injured.
