MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association rolled through downtown Mobile on Fat Tuesday. It’s one of the biggest parades, and they had people pumped up for the final day of the season.

"They are so energetic. They are just throwing stuff they are just having so much fun, and so are we,” said one parade goer.

The parade rolled through the afternoon, but people like Taylor Pate were getting prepared before the sun came up.

"Four in the morning actually, to secure our spot and it was worth it. We're having a great time,” Pate said.

Linda Weaver said the best thing about Mardi Gras is the new friends.

"We met up on Government Street on Tuesday, and we’ve been to every parade together since,” Weaver said.
